The statement emphasizes that the Ruaraka center will exclusively serve ex-NYS candidates with a valid NYS Discharge Certificate. The advisory also instructs candidates to download, complete, and present the Police Constable Application Form, which can be accessed through an online link provided in the notice.
The Employment Liaison Office advises ex-NYS members to prioritize reporting to their respective sub-counties, as mentioned in the national recruitment advertisement, to minimize confusion and streamline the nationwide exercise. Entrance into the NHU Grounds will require a valid NYS Discharge Certificate, acting as the official gate pass on the recruitment day.
This advisory is particularly relevant as thousands of ex-NYS graduates across the country prepare for the national police recruitment exercise, which typically attracts a large number of youth seeking entry into the disciplined services. However, the process has been temporarily suspended due to a legal challenge launched by activist Eliud Matindi, which was addressed by the High Court on Friday, restoring the status quo as of November 10, 2025.
The court's interim directions clarify that the conservatory suspension is only a temporary measure to allow an application by one of the parties to be heard fairly, pending the inter partes hearing and determination of the 1st Interested Party/Applicant's Notice of Motion Application dated 13/11/2025.
